When you consider that he is 99.9% just like the rest of us, it's quite amazing what a difference that 0.1% can do.

If you mean biologically, maybe. Financially, no. His father is/ was fairly wealthy and influential.

Exactly. We are all so very equal, yet the small differences seem somehow to make a big difference. In this particular case, his heritage did help (wealthy people do give their children a wealthy mind-set), but I really don't think that wealth in the family is the only thing that makes Bill Gates so successful.

And he is hardly the visionary everyone makes him out to be, once claiming that 640K of RAM was all anyone would ever need. Anyone who uses Windows knows that's never been true.

I'm not sure that "visionary" is quite the word I would use, however having miscalculated the some aspect of the future does not of itself precluse a person from being a visionary.

I think Bill Gates is an amazing man, who has also turned out to a tremendous person who wants to help with The Living Proof Project.
