I don't think these are awful ways of "wasting" money if they are done in moderation, because all of them are very fun. Going to a game - much more fun than sitting at home watching it. Eating out - much more fun than sitting home alone eating a tv dinner. Drinking out - much more fun than sitting at home drinking a beer by yourself! :)

As I younger man, I believed that any money not spent on beer or women was wasted. In 1982 I heard a classmate say she loved Neil Young, so I asked her to see him in concert. The tickets were sold out. Paid $250 to buy them through a broker.

I just chose the 5 most obvious ways.

I didn't mean "waste" with a strong negative connotation. I just wanted to have some fun at laugh at some of the ways us guys *spend* money. Believe me I am guilty of all of them and then some. I just booked a hotel room for my birthday this Saturday. Completely unnecessary but you only live once.

Sorry Joe but when I saw 1982 I almost spilled my drink. My Mom was a teenager in 1982. I hope it wasn't here you took to the concert lol.

I am guilty of all 5 of these but I do not consider any of these things a waste. Funny, neither did any of the dates, friends, family and girlfriends. Like Mastercard says: Priceless. I can tell you that anyone that isn't willing to get out and have a good time, money or not, isn't worth spending the time with. The photos on my camera, in my head and in the memories of those I love will long be the topic of conversations and laughs forever.
