Dave Ramsey and other BTID proponents make the case that traditional Whole Life insurance is "one of the worst products that the middle class buys". I think he could not be more wrong. A close look at life insurance and the flaws in the "buy term, invest the difference" argument demonstrate that Whole Life is not the "payday loan of the middle class" like Mr. Ramsey claims, but instead is one of the most powerful financial products that money can buy.
