Whether its with Google Calendar or other electronic calendar, it is a very good idea to use it as a reminder.

I missed a payment once for one of my credit cards by 12 hours and after setting up Google Calendar reminders my payment history is flawless. I highly suggest using this type of setup to pay all your bills.

An easy solution would also be to designate a date (i.e. the first of every month) on which you regularly pay your bills. Also, most bills are now available via e-mail, so if you simply pay it as soon as you receive the e-mail, you dont risk being charged late fees.

simple and self-explanatory. Might be faster to just pay the bill online instead though...
