I disagree. Whether you should upgrade to the new iPhone, switch to it, or stay with your current phone/provider IS a financial decision. These phones are not cheap, so that's why I submitted it.

I am a fan of MoneyCrashers. I actually appreciated the article. TIPd does not want product reviews or announcements. Since any product is bought with money, and would have a financial impact to the buyer, your definition is too broad as compared to the guideline established here.

efolgate, the article is great and appreciated, but if it's a financial decision, please write the article as such. Just talking about the iPhone doesn't make it a money decision unless the article clearly outlines the financial implications.

ultrageek is a moderator, as am I, and we've dealt with a lot of folks who like to submit tech stories because there's implied finance, like this one. Unless the financial ramifications are explicit, it really doesn't belong. It sets the wrong precedent, especially for newbies trying to figure out what's appropriate on Tip'd and what isn't. We'd like to hope that our senior members can set a good example.
